The requirements for the System Center Monitoring Pack for Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 (Converted) and System Center Operations Manager 2007 are documented in their respective deployment guides. The Configuration Manager 2007 Monitoring Pack monitors Configuration Manager 2007 only.

  • The Operations Manager 2007 MOM 2005 Backward Compatibility Monitoring Pack Update must be installed before installing the Configuration Manager 2007 Monitoring Pack.   • This Configuration Manager 2007 Monitoring Pack does not monitor System Management Server (SMS) 1.2, SMS 2.0, or SMS 2003.

Supported Configurations for Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 Monitoring Pack

The monitoring pack for Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 adds support for monitoring Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 in a 64-bit environment with Operations Manager 2007 R2 or Operations Manager 2007 SP1 with the hotfix described in KB971541 installed. This enables the monitoring pack to work with both the 32-bit and the 64-bit Operations Manager 2007 agent.

This monitoring pack cannot be imported to earlier versions of Operations Manager 2007. The Operations Manager 2007 Import Management Pack wizard will report an error when attempting to import. This monitoring pack can be used to monitor Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, but performance counters will not work if the Configuration Manager 2007 site is installed in a 64-bit environment. In a 32-bit environment, performance will be the same as with the monitoring pack for Configuration Manager 2007.
