Manage Client Computers

Using the Manage Client Computers taskpad, you can manage the client computers on the Windows Small Business Server network, from account creation and network setup to application deployment and other advanced tasks. For more information, see Client Computer Deployment.

The following table describes the tasks on the Manage Client Computers taskpad. Some tasks are only available when a computer is selected.

Task Description

Set Up Client Computers

Starts the Set Up Computer Wizard. This wizard sets up client computers, which includes creating computer accounts, configuring networking, and deploying client applications.

Create Remote Connection Disk

Starts the Create Remote Connection Disk Wizard, enabling you to copy files to a floppy disk for users to connect remotely to the network. You can create multiple disks with a single instance of the wizard.

Assign Applications to Client Computers

Starts the Assign Applications Wizard, enabling you to select and deploy applications to client computers on the network.

View Computer Settings

Displays the installation and application deployment settings for client computers.

Set Up Client Applications

Starts the Set Up Client Applications Wizard, enabling you to modify the list of applications you can deploy to client computers on the network.

Offer Remote Assistance

Opens a Help and Support page from which you can initiate an offer of remote assistance to users.

Manage Users

Opens the Manage Users taskpad.

Manage Server Computers

Opens the Manage Server Computers taskpad.
