You must install Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 before upgrading
Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup cannot continue unless Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 or later is installed.
You must cancel Setup, install Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 or later, and then restart Setup. However, it is recommended that you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 from Disc 3 or the DVD (if available).

Disconnect your Internet connection device from the Internet. However, do not disconnect your server from the Internet connection device.

Disable any real-time antivirus software that you have running, as they may cause problems while running Setup.

Insert Windows Small Business Server 2003 CD 3 or the DVD (if available) into the drive.

Click Start, and then click Run.

In Open, type the path to W2ksp4.exe.

If you are using a CD, type D:\SBS\Clientapps\Win2k_SP4\i386\Update.exe, where D is the letter of your drive.

If you are using a DVD, type D:\CD3\SBS\Clientapps\Win2k_SP4\i386\Update.exe, where D is the letter of your drive.

If you are using a CD, type D:\SBS\Clientapps\Win2k_SP4\i386\Update.exe, where D is the letter of your drive.

Follow the instructions to complete Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Setup.
