This computer is configured as a domain member server

Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup cannot continue because the computer is a member of a domain.

You must cancel Setup, remove the computer from the domain, and then restart Setup.

To remove a computer running Windows 2000 Server from the domain

  1. Cancel Setup.

  2. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.

  3. On the Network Identification tab, click Properties.

  4. Under Member of, click Workgroup, and then type any name for the workgroup.

Note

You are only joining the workgroup temporarily until your new Windows Small Business Server domain is created during Setup. After removing the computer from the domain, you will not be able to participate in the existing domain.

To remove a computer running Windows Server 2003 from the domain

  1. Cancel Setup.

  2. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click System.

  3. On the Computer Name tab, click Change.

  4. Under Member of, click Workgroup, and then type any name for the workgroup.
