Creating Virtual Disks in Virtual Server

Creating virtual disks

To run a virtual machine, you generally need to configure at least one virtual hard disk for the virtual machine and install an operating system on it. You can configure a virtual machine to start from a floppy disk or a CD, but you should still specify a virtual hard disk for the virtual machine. Many applications require that a hard disk be present in order to operate correctly.

Virtual hard disks are saved as .vhd files and virtual floppy disks are saved as .vfd files.
