View the status of all virtual machines

To view the status of all virtual machines

  1. Open the Administration Website.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Master Status.

To perform this procedure, you must have the appropriate permissions. If you do not have the appropriate permissions, you will either receive an error message or you will not be able to view certain menu items and options described in this procedure. To change your permissions, contact your Virtual Server administrator. For more information, see Securing Virtual Server. For instructions on opening the Administration Website, see "Open the Administration Website" in Related Topics. After completing this procedure, the Status pane displays the list of virtual machines currently configured on Virtual Server that you have permission to view, and the status of each one. You can modify the information that appears on the Master Status page, such as the images, the number of virtual machines, and the columns. For more information, see "Configure Administration Website properties" in Related Topics. To reorder the list of virtual machines by name, status, running time, or CPU usage, click the appropriate heading. To quickly turn on a virtual machine, or to go to Remote Control view for a virtual machine that is running, click its Remote View image. To gain access to virtual machine configuration and control features, point to the virtual machine name, and click the appropriate option. For more information, see "Manage virtual machine state" in Related Topics. To quickly change CPU resource allocation settings for a running virtual machine, click its CPU Usage image.
