This computer is running an unsupported version of SQL Server

Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup cannot continue because SQL Server 6.5 or SQL Server 7.0 is installed on this computer. Windows Small Business Server 2003 supports SQL Server 2000 or later.

You must either remove or upgrade SQL Server, and then restart Setup.

To remove SQL Server on a computer running Windows 2000 Server

  1. Cancel Setup.

  2. Click Start, click Run, and then type Control.

  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

  4. Click SQL Server, and then click Change/Remove.

  5. Follow the instructions for removing SQL Server.

To upgrade SQL Server

To upgrade SQL Server on this computer, you must purchase Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and follow the instructions provided by SQL Server 2000 to upgrade your installation of SQL. After doing so, you must install Service Pack 3 or later, and then complete Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup.
