Screen capture of Job Manager

Job Manager consists of a title bar, a menu bar, and an upper and lower display pane.

  • Title Bar — Displays the host name of the head node of the cluster that you are managing. By default, this is the host that you are logged on to, which is always identified as Localhost.

  • Menu Bar — Contains the menu items File, View, and Show. File and View access screens for cluster connection, job creation and submission, and options including adding and deleting columns, screen refresh interval, notification, and job template directory. Show allows you to filter the jobs displayed in the job queue to include all jobs or only those in the Active, Finished, Failed, or Canceled states.

    Note

When a job is selected in the queue, a Job menu item is added, with options to add a task, cancel or requeue the job, or display the job properties.

    Note

When a task is selected in the queue, a Task menu item is added, with options to cancel or requeue the task or display its properties.

  • Upper Pane — Displays the job queue in tabular form. Each line represents a job, while each column represents a status, property, or other statistic belonging to the job. Columns may be added or deleted using the View menu. For a detailed description of the job columns, see View the Job Queue.

  • Lower Pane — Displays the task list of the selected job. Each line represents a task while each column represents a status, property, or other statistic belonging to the task. Columns may be added or deleted using the View menu. For a detailed description of the task columns, see View the Job Queue.
