Numbers in Lists or Surveys Display Closest Value When There are No Decimal Places

If your list or survey includes a field for numbers with no decimal places, and users enter decimal values, SharePoint™ Team Services from Microsoft displays the number at the nearest whole value. This can cause unexpected results when you filter the list.
For example, if your list has a column that stores numbers, and the number of decimal places is set to zero, when a user enters a value such as 1.5, the value displays as 2 in the list. When you use the Filter command on the page that displays the list, the filter uses 2, the value that's displayed; but when you create a view for this list, the filter uses 1.5, the value that's stored in the database. Furthermore, if a user creates another item and enters the value 2 for this column, when you use the Filter command there will be multiple instances of 2 to select for this column.
To correct this problem
If users are entering decimal values in a field that you specified to have no decimal places, change the setting for the field so that it can display decimal values. Do the following:
To modify a list
On the page that displays the list, click Modify settings and columns.
In the Columns section, click the name of the field you want to modify.
In the Optional settings for column section, in the Number of decimal places box, select Automatic.
At the bottom of the page, click OK.
To modify a survey
On the page that displays the survey, click Modify survey and questions.
In the Questions section, click the name of the field you want to modify.
In the Optional settings for your question section, in the Number of decimal places box, select Automatic.
At the bottom of the page, click OK.
