Deploying the Response Group Service
[This is preliminary documentation and is subject to change. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]
The Response Group service routes and queues incoming calls to groups of designated individuals, who are called agents, according to rules that you specify by creating and configuring a workflow. When you configure a workflow, you can also specify a welcome message, provide music on hold, and gather information from the caller by using Interactive Voice Response.
The Response Group service is hosted by Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Application Server. You can install the Response Group service when you deploy the Application Server. This section explains how to configure a Response Group service and to create workflows.
