Updated: April 17, 2012

Applies To: Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012

To view, print, and save a report of Group Policy object settings

  1. In the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) console tree, double-click the forest containing the domain or organizational unit that contains the Group Policy object (GPO) with which you want to work, and then select the GPO.

  2. Click the Settings tab to view reports in GPMC.

  3. If you want to print or save the report, right-click the settings report in the results pane and do one of the following:

    • Select Print to print the report.

    • Select Save Report to save the report.

      noteNote
To customize the information displayed in a report, click Show or Hide to display only the data you want to view or print.

Additional considerations

  • To view a description of a setting in Administrative Templates, click the setting name in the report.

  • From within GPMC, it is not possible to use the keyboard to navigate inside an HTML report. To navigate inside the HTML report, save the report to a file and then use Microsoft Internet Explorer to view the report.
