Enable the Network Access Protection Service on Clients

You can use this procedure to enable and configure the Network Access Protection (NAP) service on NAP-capable client computers. You must enable this service when you deploy NAP.

Membership in Domain Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To enable the Network Access Protection service on clients

  1. Click Start, Control Panel, SystemandMaintenance, AdministrativeTools, and then double-click Services.

  2. In the services list, scroll down to and double-click Network Access Protection Agent.

  3. In the Network Access Protection Agent Properties dialog box, change Startup Type to Automatic, and then click OK.
