Membership in the local Users group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To cancel a restart or shutdown
Open Command Prompt.
Type
shutdown /a
within the time-out period.
To start Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, expand Accessories, and click Command Prompt.
Another way to start Command Prompt is to click Start, click in the Search box, type cmd, and press ENTER.
For more information about the shutdown command, type
shutdown /?
at a command prompt.You cannot cancel a restart or shutdown using the Shutdown Event Tracker Windows interface. It is only possible to perform this task from the command line.
