Checklist: Install and Configure Windows Deployment Services

Windows Deployment Services must be configured and images must be added to the image store before it can begin servicing clients. The Windows Deployment Services Configuration Wizard guides you through setting up remote installation shares, configuring the Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE) server settings, and optionally enables you to add boot and install images.
