Reactivate a Remote Desktop License Server by Using a Web Browser

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

The Web reactivation method can be used when the computer running the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager tool does not have Internet connectivity, but you have access to the Web by means of a Web browser from another computer. The URL for the Web method is displayed in the Reactivate Server Wizard.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, on the RD Licensing server that you plan to configure, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477.

    • Complete the name and company fields.

  8. Click Next, confirm your entries, and then click Next. Your new license server ID is displayed.

  9. On the License Server Reactivation page in the Reactivate Server Wizard, type the new license server ID that you received in the previous step, and then click Next. The license server is reactivated.

  10. On the Completing the Reactivate Server Wizard page, click Finish.
