Connect to a User Session

You can connect to a user session in Remote Desktop Services Manager by using the Connect action.
To connect to a user session

In Remote Desktop Services Manager, in the left pane, click the Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server on which the user session is running.

To connect to the user session, do either of the following:
- On the Users tab, right-click the user session, and then click Connect.
- On the Sessions tab, right-click the user session, and then click Connect.
- On the Users tab, right-click the user session, and then click Connect.

Click OK to connect to the user session.
Additional considerations
- You can always connect to your own sessions if you are logged on with the same user account.
- To connect to the session of another user, you must have Full Control access permission or Connect special access permission.
- You can connect to a user session only if the user session is in either an active or disconnected state.
- You can only connect to a user session from within an existing remote session on the same RD Session Host server.
- You can use the tscon command-line tool to connect to a user session.
