Additional considerations

If you edit policy settings locally on a computer, you will affect the settings on only that one computer. If you configure the settings in a Group Policy object (GPO) hosted in an Active Directory domain, then the settings apply to all computers that are subject to that GPO. I have installed the "Link-Layer Topology discovery Driver" on my WinXP computer.
After that, all my computers running Windows XP appear in the network map in Vista.
However, they are "static", i do not have any access to those computers.
What else can i do to bring my sharing folders from Windows XP to Vista?
