Configuring Internet Server Certificates (IIS 7)
Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista
Internet server certificates are issued by a public certification authority (CA). To obtain an Internet server certificate, you send a request to the CA and then install the Internet server certificate sent from the CA.
For information about the levels at which you can perform these procedures, and the modules, handlers, and permissions that are required to perform these procedures, see Server Certificates Feature Requirements (IIS 7).
