Terminal Services Events in Windows Server 2008

Updated: August 15, 2011

Applies To: Windows Server 2008

The following are lists of Terminal Services events that can appear in the event log of a computer that is running a Terminal Services role service, such as TS Licensing or TS Gateway. The events can be viewed by using Event Viewer. In each of the lists, the event ID is linked to troubleshooting information for that event.

This troubleshooting documentation for Terminal Services events can also be found in the Windows Server 2008 Technical Library.

For troubleshooting documentation for other server roles (for example, Active Directory Rights Management Services) and Server Fundamentals (for example, Core Security) in Windows Server 2008, see Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008.

noteNote
In Windows Server 2008 R2, Terminal Services was renamed Remote Desktop Services. To find out what's new in this version and to find the most up-to-date resources, visit the Remote Desktop Services page on the Windows Server TechCenter.
