NAP Client Configuration Checklist

Use the following checklist to help ensure that you correctly configure Network Access Protection (NAP) settings on client computers.

NAP Client Configuration Overview

Determine whether you want to import a configuration file. (Optional)

Import NAP Client Configuration Settings

Enable one or more NAP enforcement clients. (Required)

Configure NAP Enforcement Clients

Specify branding text and graphics for the NAP user interface. (Optional)

Configure NAP Client Request Policy

Specify the Health Registration Authority (HRA) servers with which a client computer will communicate. (Optional)

Configure Trusted Server Groups for NAP Clients

Specify the cryptographic mechanism that client computers use to communicate with HRA servers. (Optional)

Configure NAP Client Request Policy

Configure NAP tracing and the level of detail you want to record in a tracing log file. (Optional)

Configure NAP Tracing

Determine whether you want to save NAP settings to a configuration file. (Optional)

Export NAP Client Configuration Settings
