NFS Startup Status

NFS clients discover NFS servers by querying the port mapper for a remote server. NFS clients can only discover and communicate with a computer running Server for NFS.

The Network File System (NFS) driver has suspended operations. If this is not a result of administrative action check the status of the nfssvc.exe service. If this service process is missing try to restart the service using "net start nfssvc".

The Network File System (NFS) driver is ready to service requests from NFS clients.

The Network File System (NFS) driver successfully unloaded.

NfsServer

Server for NFS could not register with RPC Port Mapper. Server for NFS did not start. Network File System (NFS) clients discover NFS servers by querying the port mapper for a remote server (also known as Portmap and Rpcbind). NFS clients will not be able to discover and communicate with Server for NFS on this computer.

Server for NFS could not create any RPC endpoints. Server for NFS did not start. Server for NFS creates RPC endpoints to receive requests from Network File System (NFS) clients. Without any RPC endpoints Server for NFS will not be able to receive any requests on this computer.

Windows(R) failed a request to load the Network File System (NFS) driver. Server for NFS cannot start. Windows may be low on system resources. Try increasing available system resources by closing programs, then start Server for NFS manually.

Service Control Manager failed a request to start Server for NFS. Server for NFS cannot start. Windows(R) may be low on system resources. Try increasing available system resources by closing programs, then start Server for NFS manually.
