Security Descriptor Definition Language
The /a parameter takes a string in the form of the Security Descriptor Definition Language (SDDL). The SDDL string defines the format that is used by the 'httpcfg set urlacl /a' command. The SDDL also defines string elements for describing information in the components of a security descriptor.
For more information, see the Security Descriptor Definition Language topic on the MSDN website (https://msdn.microsoft.com).
For more information about how Httpcfg corresponds to the HTTP API, see Using the HTTP API Configuration Tool.
The httpcfg.exe commands return a standard WIN32 API error code. A return value of 0 means that the command completed successfully. For more information on WIN32 API error codes, see the Event Logging topic on the MSDN website (https://msdn.microsoft.com).
