Move an ADAM instance to a site object

To move an ADAM instance to a site object

Open ADAM ADSI Edit.

Connect and bind to the configuration directory partition of an ADAM instance in the configuration set that contains the site object.

In the console tree, double-click the connection, double-click the configuration directory partition, and then double-click the sites container (CN=Sites).

In the sites container, double-click the site containing the ADAM instance that you want to move, and then double-click the servers container of the site.

In the servers container, right-click the ADAM instance that you want to move, and then click Move.

In the Move dialog box, double-click Sites, double-click the site to which you want to move the ADAM instance, click the servers container of the site, and then click OK.

To open the ADAM ADSI Edit snap-in, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, and then click ADAM ADSI Edit.

Before you can move an ADAM instance to a site, the site must have a servers container to which you can move the ADAM instance.

The ADAM instance does not appear in its new location until you right-click the destination servers container and then click Refresh.
