Description
Controls the decision to increase or decrease the system-recommended poll interval. Larger values mean that a smaller amount of error will cause the poll interval to be decreased.
Activation Method
To make changes to this entry effective, at the command line, type:
w32tm /config /update
Note
- The time service increases the poll interval when the computer clock proves stable for several polls.
Tip
- Consider increasing the value of this entry if the time service is synchronizing under poor network conditions. Under such conditions, the time service might never achieve great enough stability to increase the poll interval, and the service will continue to poll at the minimum poll interval. Shorter poll intervals create more network traffic.
