Fixing Program Problems

This section provides a description of some common problems you might experience when you run a program with Windows Firewall enabled.

Typically, you encounter program problems when you try to run a program with Windows Firewall turned on or you turn Windows Firewall on while a program is running. From the following list, choose the problem that best describes your situation, and then step through the suggested fix:

• A Program in the Exceptions List Does Not Run Properly

• A Notification Says Windows Explorer Is Trying to Listen on a Port

• A User Cannot Determine What to Add to the Exceptions List
