After installing and configuring Password Synchronization, you can test your configuration by starting the Password Synchronization service.

Start the Password Synchronization Daemon

This procedure is carried out in the command-line environment.

  • To start Password Synchronization, run the Password Synchronization daemon (SSOD) by entering the following at a command prompt:

    ssod

Stop the Password Synchronization Daemon

This procedure is carried out in the command-line environment.

  • To stop Password Synchronization, stop the SSOD process by entering the following at a command prompt:

    kill –term pid

    where pid represents the process identifier of the Password Synchronization SSOD.
