Administering server cluster nodes

You administer Message Queuing running in a server cluster node the same way as you would a standard Message Queuing server, using the same snap-ins.

In addition, you can also locally administer Message Queuing running in the context of a virtual server in a cluster by using the Computer Management snap-in. A virtual server is a cluster group that contains a Disk resource and a Network Name resource. A virtual server functions similarly to a server running on a physical computer, so a Message Queuing server running in the context of a virtual server provides services similar to the services provided by a Message Queuing server running on a physical computer.

To administer Message Queuing running in the context of a virtual server, the associated node on which the virtual server is running must be online and available.
