Stopping User Name Mapping
Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2
To stop User Name Mapping from the Windows interface
Open Microsoft Services for Network File System: click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Microsoft Services for Network File System.
If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
Right-click User Name Mapping, and then click Stop Service.
To stop User Name Mapping from the command line
Open the command prompt.
At the command prompt, type:
mapadmin [ComputerName] [–uUser**] [–pPassword] stop**
Argument Description ComputerName
The name of the computer on which you want to stop User Name Mapping.
User
The name of the user who has administrative privileges on the computer, if different from the current user.
Password
The password for the person who has administrative privileges on the computer, if different from the current user.
