To change the value of this entry, in Control Panel double-click Regional and Language Options, click the Regional Options tab, and then click the Customize... button. Next, click the Date tab, and then select a format from the Long date format list. Click OK.
Changes made in Regional and Language Options are effective immediately.
Note
- You can also create your own date format if you use the correct values. (For more information about these values, see Day, Month, Year, and Time Format.) Click in the Short date format box, rather than clicking on the arrow to the right of the box, and replace or insert the necessary characters.
