Description

Specifies the Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) that is assigned to the fax device specified by device-ID in the registry path. When sending a fax, the Fax Service sends the TSID to the receiver to identify the sender. A TSID usually consists of the telephone number of the sending fax device and a name. The TSID is limited to 20 characters.

The Fax Service sends the TSID, depending on the value of registry entry UseDeviceTsid. The receiving fax device might use the TSID in a variety of ways; fax machines often display the TSID when receiving a fax and also might print it on the top of each received page. The Fax Service can also include the TSID in a banner, which it prepends to each transmitted page, when the registry entry Branding is set to 1.
