Sc boot

Indicates whether the last boot should be saved as the last-known good boot configuration.

Syntax

sc [<ServerName>] boot [{bad | ok}]

Parameters

Parameter

Description

<ServerName>

Specifies the name of the remote server on which the service is located. The name must use the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) format (for example, \\myserver). To run SC.exe locally, omit this parameter.

{bad | ok}

Specifies whether the last boot was bad or whether it should be saved as the last-known good boot configuration.

Examples

To mark the last boot as the last-known good boot configuration, type:

sc boot ok 

To mark the last boot as bad, type:

sc boot bad
