Internet Connection Sharing is not included with Windows Small Business Server

After Setup is complete, Internet Connection Sharing will not be available. For more information about how to configure your Internet connection, see “Connecting to the Internet” in Appendix B, “Understanding Your Network,” of Getting Started.

To continue Setup, do one of the following:

  • If Internet Connection Sharing is not enabled, select the I acknowledge all warnings check box.
  • If Internet Connection Sharing is enabled, disable it, and then click Check Again to refresh the list of Setup requirements.
To disable Internet Connection Sharing Using Windows 2000 Server
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.

  2. Right-click the connection name, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Sharing tab, under Shared access, clear the Enable InternetConnection Sharing for this connection check box, and then click OK.

  4. Close all properties boxes when completed.

To disable Internet Connection Sharing Using Windows Server 2003
  1. Click Start, point to Control Panel, right-click Network Connections, and then click Open.

  2. Right-click the connection name, and then click Properties.

  3. Click the Advanced tab.

  4. Under Internet Connection Sharing, clear the Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection check box, and then click OK.

  5. Close all properties boxes when completed.
