Data Folders (Component)
You are installing components that require a data folder. It is recommended that you choose a drive that has enough free disk space to support folder growth. Additionally, if you have multiple drives installed in your server, it is recommended that you save your data to a drive other than the drive where the operating system is installed. Storing data on a separate drive improves system performance and simplifies backup and recovery.
Notes
- When selecting a drive for your data folders, the folder must be on a fixed disk of the local computer and cannot be located on a shared resource on the network.
- If you are unsure of where you want to store your data, it is recommended that you use the default values provided as these are typical for a small business.
