Change Dial-up Password

You can change the password used by your dial-up connection to connect to the Internet.

Item Description

Dial-up connection

Specifies the name of the connection you are using to connect to your Internet service provider (ISP).

ISP user name

Specifies the name of the account used to authenticate the connection to your ISP.

Password

Type the password for the account used to authenticate the connection to your ISP. To verify it was entered correctly, retype the password in Confirm password.

Notes

  • If you would like to connect to your ISP using a dial-up connection other than the connection defaulted, click a different connection name in the drop-down list.
  • To add a new dial-up connection, run the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard. For more information about the wizard, click Start, and then click Help and Support.
  • If you change the user name or password authentication information, be sure your ISP has made the change in their settings as well.
