Accessing Help on Your Computer (IIS 7)

IIS 7 Help on your computer includes procedures for performing common administrative tasks. This Help content also provides comprehensive descriptions of each page, wizard, and dialog box in the new IIS 7 user interface (UI).

F1 Help

If you want more information about the features on a specific page in IIS Manager, press F1.

For consistency with other Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins, IIS Manager Help is available from both the snap-in menu and task bar.

The menu bar displays a Help menu. From this menu, you can view Help about the UI, in addition to all the Help content available on your computer. If you have an Internet connection, you can browse the TechCenter Web site to see all available IIS 7 Help content for IT Administrators, including Deployment, Operations, and Technical Reference.

Task Bar Help

The task bar displays a Help icon that you can click to view Help about the IIS 7 user interface. The task bar appears at the top of every UI page.

Actions Pane Help

The Actions pane displays a Help icon that you can click to view Help about the IIS 7 user interface. The Actions pane appears on every UI page.
