Publish Certificates to the File System

Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2

The following procedure can be used to publish issued certificates to the file system.

To request a certificate and have it published to the file system, certificate requestors must include a certfile:true attribute in their request. After the certificate is issued, it is copied to FileName.cer, where FileName is the request ID of the certificate request.

The file is copied to the CertEnroll folder on the certification authority (CA).

noteNote
You cannot use this method to overwrite files.

You must be a CA administrator to complete this procedure. For more information, see Implement Role-Based Administration.
