Specifies whether the computer releases its NetBIOS name when it receives a name-release request. If the value of this entry is 0 (the default), then the computer releases its NetBIOS name upon request; if the value of this entry is 1, then the computer does not release its NetBIOS name. Configuring the computer to refuse release of its NetBIOS name can protect against malicious requests for name release.
This entry does not exist in the registry by default. You can add it by using the registry editor Regedit.exe.
You must restart the computer for changes to take effect.
