Windows Server 2003 Technical Reference

Windows Server 2003 Technical Reference documentation provides comprehensive information about the technologies included in the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and core operating system, high availability and scalability, networking, storage, and security technologies. This set of Technical Reference documentation is designed to assist IT planners and administrators by providing the foundational information about the technology components of the operating system. Windows Server 2003 Technical Reference documentation is not designed to provide prescriptive guidance about how to deploy, operate, or maintain Windows Server 2003 technologies.

Structure

Windows Server 2003 Technical Reference includes a number of collections covering each of the core technology areas for Windows Server 2003. Each collection is organized into subjects that provide detailed information about components of the technology, including a basic description of the component, a discussion of how the technology works, and information about tools and settings related to the technology.
