Install a transform using the command line

To install a transform using the command line

  1. Open Command Prompt.

  2. Type:

    msiexec /ipackageTRANSFORMS=TransformList

     

    Value Description

    /i

    Installs a product.

    package

    Specifies the name of the Windows Installer package file.

    TRANSFORMS=TransformList

    Specifies what transform (.mst) files should be applied to the package. TransformList is a list of paths separated by semicolons.

Notes

  • To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command prompt.

  • Windows Installer command-line options are not case-sensitive. For more information about msiexec command-line options, see Related Topics.
