Delete an application directory partition

To delete an application directory partition

Open ADAM ADSI Edit.

Connect and bind to the ADAM instance.

Double-click the configuration directory partition (CN=Configuration,CN={GUID}).

In the console tree, click the partitions container (CN=Partitions).

In the details pane, right-click the application directory partition that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
Caution
-
The only way to retrieve a deleted application directory partition is to restore the entire ADAM instance from a backup copy that was made before the deletion of the partition.

To start the ADAM ADSI Edit snap-in, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, and then click ADAM ADSI Edit.
