Logging on to a computer with a smart card

To log on to a computer with a smart card, users do not need to type CTRL+ALT+DEL. They simply insert the smart card into the smart card reader, and the computer prompts them for their personal identification number (PIN) instead of their user name and password (and, if applicable, domain).
