Manage Queues on Other Computers

Use this procedure to manage public Message Queuing queues on other computers.

You can use this procedure to manage public Message Queuing queues on other computers.

Membership in <Domain>\Domain Users, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

To manage public Message Queuing queues on other computers

  1. Click Start, point to Run, type compmgmt.msc, and press ENTER to display the Computer Management MMC console.

  2. Right-click Computer Management, and then click Connect to another computer.

  3. In the Select Computer dialog box, select the computer on which you want to manage queues, and then click OK.

  4. Perform the desired task as you would on the local computer.

Additional considerations

  • To manage public queues, you must have access to Active Directory Domain Services.

  • You cannot manage private queues located in a remote computer.

  • You can also perform this task using the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in. For more information, see Additional references.
