Configure NAP Settings in Network Policy
Applies To: Windows Server 2008
Configure NAP settings in network policy
You can use this procedure to configure Network Access Protection (NAP) settings in Network Policy Server (NPS) network policy.
Important
The NAP Extended State setting, along with Host Credential Authorization Protocol (HCAP) server, allows you to integrate your Microsoft NAP solution with Cisco Network Admission Control. Do not configure the NAP Extended State setting in network policy unless you have also deployed Cisco Network Admission Control and HCAP server.
Membership in Domain Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To configure NAP settings in NPS network policy
Open the NPS console, double-click Policies, click Network Policies, and then double-click the policy you want to configure.
In policy Properties, click the Settings tab.
Locate the settings group Network Access Protection, click NAP Enforcement or Extended State, and then configure the settings according to the requirements of your NAP deployment.
