Add Definition Dialog Box: Tasks Tab

Important

Authorization Manager is available for use in the following versions of Windows: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It is deprecated as of Windows Server 2012 R2 and may be removed in subsequent versions.

A role can include tasks. A task can include other tasks. This tab shows the tasks defined in the application store.

The following table describes the UI elements for this dialog box.

Item Description

Select the task definitions to add

Lists the tasks defined in the authorization store.

To include a defined task, select the check box beside an existing task definition.

Note
 A task cannot be added to itself, either directly or indirectly. If you try to add a task to itself, you will receive an error message
