Start or Stop Outgoing Faxes for a Fax Server

To start or stop outgoing faxes

Open Fax Service Manager.

In the left pane, right-click Fax, and then click Properties.

On the General tab, do the following:

Select Disable submissions of new outgoing faxes to prevent users from submitting new faxes to the Outgoing folder. Clear this check box to restart fax submissions.

Select Disable transmission of outgoing faxes to prevent faxes from being sent from the Outgoing folder. Clear this check box to restart fax transmissions.

Select Disable submissions of new outgoing faxes to prevent users from submitting new faxes to the Outgoing folder. Clear this check box to restart fax submissions.

Additional considerations
To configure fax components, you must be a member of the Administrators group or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.
