Updated: March 29, 2012

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012

Use this procedure to configure transport policy in Health Registration Authority (HRA). You can configure transport policy by specifying supported HTTP client user agents. By default, any HTTP client user agent is allowed.

Membership in Domain Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477.

To configure transport policy using the Windows interface

  1. Open the HRA console.

  2. In the console tree, double-click Request Policy, and then click Transport Policy.

  3. In the details pane, right-click HTTP Client User Agents, and then click Properties.

  4. The default setting of Any agent is selected. This setting allows the use of any HTTP user agent.

  5. To specify a HTTP user agent, select Specific agent, enter the HTTP agent string, and then click Add. The HTTP agent string will appear in the list of Currently allowed agents.

  6. To modify or remove items in the Currently allowed agents list, click the name of the agent, and then click Edit or Remove.

  7. Click OK to close the HTTP Client User Agent Properties dialog box.
