The General tab can be used to provide a Friendly name and Description that can be used to differentiate between two certificates that are nearly identical, such as two unique signing certificates.

You can also use the General tab to Enable, Disable specific purposes or uses for the certificate.

Note

You can only add purposes that are permitted under the guidelines and restrictions imposed when the certificate was first issued.
