After you install Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), verify key functionality such as Domain Name System (DNS) resource record registrations and SYSVOL replication. The link points to verification steps for Windows Server 2003. However, several steps requires netdiag.exe which no longer exists in Windows Server 2008 (R2)!!

The guy who wrote this article shouldn't have done a copy-n-paste blindly...
