To select view filter options

To select view filter options

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.

  2. On the View menu, click Filter Options.

  3. In the Filtering Options dialog box, select one of the following three options:

    • Show all types of objects

    • Show only the following types of objects

    • Create custom filter

  4. Optionally, type the maximum number of objects that you want to display in the console in Maximum number of items displayed per folder.

Notes

  • To open Active Directory Users and Computers, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Active Directory Users and Computers.

  • Show all types of objects is the default filter option. If you select Show only the following types of objects, you can select the objects for display in the associated listing. If you select Create custom filter, you can find objects and select the specific attributes that you want to display in the console.

  • The default maximum number of objects displayed in the console is 2,000 objects.
