Resolve

Publish a performance counter

The issue indicates that the .NET System.Diagnostics.PerformanceCounter component detected an error condition. However, there is not enough information to provide a recommendation for resolution of the problem. UDDI Services cannot identify the source of an error that occurs outside the component. To publish a performance counter, use the following procedure.

If you continue to get this error, note the details in the event message, and then contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS). For information about how to contact CSS, see Support Options from Microsoft Services (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52267).

To publish a performance counter:

  1. Open Reliability and Performance Monitor. To open Reliability and Performance Monitor, click Start, click Run, and then type perfmon. If you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
  2. Under Monitoring Tools, click Performance Monitor, and then click the Add(+) button.
  3. In the Add Counters dialog box, click the name of the computer you are managing, click a counter in the UDDI.API.Counts list, and then click Add. You can select more than one counter.
  4. Click OK.

Verify

To verify that counter publishing is enabled:

  1. Open Reliability and Performance Monitor. To open Reliability and Performance Monitor, click Start, click Run, and then type perfmon. If you are prompted by User Access Control, click Continue.
